The Adams County Board of Supervisors met on Friday, March 27, 2020 at 9:00 am with the following members present: Leland Shipley, Scott Akin, Doug Birt, Merlin Dixon, and Bobbi Maynes. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Scott Akin. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Maynes moved, seconded by Shipley to approve the day’s agenda along with the minutes from March 16th and March 18th. All supervisors voted aye. Motion carried.
Engineer Travis Malone updated the board on his department. They are hauling rock and cutting trees. Farm to Market plans were approved, so Malone will start that paperwork and preparing for bid letting. He’s also submitted costs for EWP funding.
Shipley moved, seconded by Birt to approve a two-year contract with Go Daddy to move the county’s email to the Microsoft Office 365 email platform for $3110.40. All supervisors voted aye. Motion carried.
Shipley moved, seconded by Dixon to approve the Certification of Cost Allocation Plan. All supervisors voted aye. Motion carried.
EMA Director Bill Lyddon updated the board on the COVID-19 Pandemic. We have received a shipment of masks, gloves, and face shields. He is collecting information for making another request for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Lyddon also gave an update on the radio system. Motorola is still placing equipment for all the departments. They are being screened for health concerns before being allowed into the departments.
Birt moved, seconded by Shipley to set the COOP COG committee with Maynes and Akin as the Supervisors representatives along with all the department heads. All supervisors voted aye. Motion carried.
Dixon moved, seconded by Shipley to approve adjourning the meeting. All supervisors voted aye. Motion carried.
