The Adams County Board of Supervisors met on Monday, August 15, 2022, at 9:00 AM with the following members present: Bobbi Maynes, Leland Shipley, Scott Akin, and Merlin Dixon. Doug Birt was absent. The meeting was called to order by Vice Chairperson Shipley and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Akin moved, seconded by Maynes to approve the agenda along with the minutes of the August 8, 2022, meeting. All supervisors voted aye. Motion carried.
Engineer Charlie Bechtold and Roads Supervisor Karl McCarty gave an update on the department. They are looking to revisit the semi lease later this fall as they figure out their needs with the current semis. Calhoun-Burns are meeting with the Engineer to discuss bridge inspections. Dale Kinser will start providing a weekly report of the ongoing projects he’s inspecting to the board.
Department Head Reports: Conservation – Camping has slowed down and there are several camping sites available. Met with ACCS to discuss their involvement in a Nature Center at Lake Icaria. Five bids have come in and one has been accepted for the Archery Range project. IT – Replaced the server in the Sheriff’s office and should be finished with that project after it fully backs up today. Reminded the Department Heads to try to gather all the information for the website company. Auditor – Getting new election equipment today and preparing for the upcoming Special Election.
Akin moved, seconded by Dixon to adjourn the meeting at 10:15 am. All supervisors voted aye. Motion carried.
