The Adams County Board of Supervisors met on Friday, April 3, 2020 at 9:00 am by electronic means with the following members present: Scott Akin, Doug Birt, and Bobbi Maynes. Leland Shipley and Merlin Dixon were present electronically. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Scott Akin. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Maynes moved, seconded by Dixon to approve the day’s agenda. All supervisors voted aye. Motion carried. Dixon moved, seconded by Maynes to approve the minutes from March 27th and March 30th. All supervisors voted aye. Motion carried.
During the public comment section of the meeting, Mayor of Corning Jan Leonard shared her concerns about opening the swimming pool this summer due to issues related to COVID-19.
Treasurer Nancy Barnes reported that 88% of second half property taxes has been collected. There will be no penalties or interest accessed until April 16th on unpaid property taxes this year due to the Governor’s proclamation concerning COVID-19.
Dixon moved, seconded by Birt to approve adjourning the meeting. All supervisors voted aye. Motion carried.
